Friends are funny, friends are close. Friends are silly, and they can be kinda gross. Friends are near, friends are far. Friends that are dear, are travelled to by car. Friends are weird, friends are strange. The last friends we had moved back to Maine. Friends are young, friends are old. Friends that are true can't be bought or sold. Friends are scarce, counted on one hand. Friends that are true, will hold both your hands. Rhymes are funny, rhymes are silly, but without friends you can wind up in a dilly.
Dr. Seuss was my favorite child author. I don't have his talent, but I loved his silliness in his rhymes. They are still my favorite, are they yours? Would you rather have his rhymes that you would mine? Would you rather fly a kite? Would you rather go in a boat? Would you rather climb a tree or chase after a goat?
Oh, Dr. Seuss how did you do it? My rhymes are stinky, while yours are timeless. Thank you for the inspiration, though. To try and be silly, is downright willy-nilly.
